Don't know about 10166, but it has been working on previous builds just fine

I have not read this thing about Sandboxie very closely. This always comes up here from time to time. I have also user space tab c:\sandbox folder with Yes flag. But the sandbox, that special sandbox I want to install programs has a No include flag.

So I guess to uncomplicate things Barb's advice to just add c:\sandbox as an exception folder in Guarded Apps is best to not complicate things ;)
And no mention of sandbox folder in user space tab.

Reading is not my problem. As I've told you. I've read and reviewed BRN documentation. Comprehension is my problem.
So, no customize.. to not use signed as determinant policy...?
So, programs need to color in the lines. In future I'll simply ask if xyz program follows M$ rules. Suggest adding need for M$ rules to User Guide. I had not made the connection to SRP.
    Ya' think..?
As I've told you. I've read and reviewed BRN documentation.
Perhaps you'll note some may not comprehend and improve Help.
Engineers can be exceptionally brilliant but, simply cannot teach.

If your aim is mass market. I'm your target audience. ;)

I have not tried it on Windows 10, but someone at BRN said it's compatible during a video conference I joined a while back. Like Pete said though I don't know what changes may have been made since. Since AG does not use any hooking I think it should still be compatible.

How to configure Adguard to make it work with MS Edge? (path %systemdrive%\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_*)
When I added MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe (privacy on) to Guarded Apps I was able to save an image in %userprofile%\Documents\MyPrivateFolder and in %userprofile%
When I added MicrosoftEdge.exe (does not matter if privacy on or off) Edge failed to start

Wow, Microsoft Edge installs to the Windows folder. I was not expecting that. I don't have Windows 10 installed. Is it available for Windows 7X64 yet? Can you post the blocked event from your activity report? Just right click on the blocked event in the activity report, and choose copy. Then paste it in your post here.

    Any idea what this is
    07/11/15 20:41:43 Prevented process <spframe.dll | C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe> from launching from <c:\users\bjms\desktop>.
I've had several from Locked Down.
http://systemexplorer.net/file-database/file/spframe-dll says Internet Explorer. Don't pay attention to the date. Darn date changes making info look current.
I've added back default Publishers at default setting. Earlier I learned default Publisher settings are just an example. What would I do to Microsoft settings. To see..

I don't know why IE would be launching a .dll from the desktop. That's makes no sense to me. Right click on the event, and choose message info. Then paste all the info it gives you here.

Btw.. the info from the link you gave shows a different path than that given by AG.

Well, that did not help at all because the protected resource field is blank. All I can tell from the message is that AG prevented rundll32.exe from executing spframe.dll. The odd thing to me is according to AG it tried to run it from the desktop. I assume AG successfully stopped it from spawning so I doubt it is on the desktop to upload to VirusTotal. It may just be strange application behavior, or maybe AG misidentified the path. Are you using Windows 10?

Nope W8.1 by my signature. AG gets excited. Throws two dialogs and tray Icon takes a few to settle down. I've seen it maybe 4 times in two days.
    Thanks for your interest !

I have never seen the block event you are experiencing from IE on my Windows 7X64 OS. Maybe someone else is using AG with Windows 8.1 that may know exactly what is being blocked.

I would not change it. Some users have removed it from the Publisher's List, but I have always left it how it is.

Yeah, I had deleted them. Then, after this mornings class. I set to default.

You only asked me about Microsoft's certificate. I delete the ones I don't need.

    Spartan browser module...

    spframe.dll is not a part of W8.1.

Add Spartan to the Guarded App list.

Thanks @Barb_C for these clarifications. Much appreciated.
If one were to add additional Publishers for trusted security applications, would you recommend the same settings as the defaults for e.g. Symantec?

Search for spframe.dll in Windows Explorer (make sure select show Hidden items in View pane).

Once file is located, right-click properties... see what infos are there.

Not sure how or why it is on your system; might turn out to be related to something other than Spartan.
