    I don't think adding a power app folder (vs. file) was ever permissable. If so, then that was a bug in 3.3. You should only be able to add an individual file - not an entire folder. I'll check into it further though.

    I was able to exclude an entire folder before this build. It doesn't make much since to only be able to exclude a file within a folder as a power app. Some security applications have hundreds of files within a folder, and it can be difficult to determine which files need to be excluded for the program to operate properly. Its much easier to exclude the entire folder. With the current method I excluded 4 files as power applications for Online Armor since those 4 were running in the memory. I hope this is a good rule to follow, but the best method would probably be to contact the developer. Well, I will be gone the rest of the day. Going fourwheeling with the family. Everyone have a good weekend!

    Appguard 3.3 never produced much in the "events" window but sense having 3.4 installed I'm getting a boatload of "events" during a normal browsing session.
    Is this normal?

    To my knowledge, there wasn't anything changed in this area. Maybe check your alerts policy? If you were using 3.3.2 (the beta version of 3.3), then "Normal" Alerts level did not report Memory Guard events (which appears to be what you're seeing). In 3.3.4 (the released version of 3.3), "Normal" level should have reported MG events as well. Usually the MG events can be ignored so I would recommend customizing your alert policy to not display them.

    Thanks you for the quick reply. I was using 3.3.4.2, now using 3.4.2.3. I will adjust the memory guard alerts and see how that goes.:thumb:

    The beta build that was released right after power apps was added to appguard allowed me to add the entire folder on XP Pro x 32.

    new build also says that protection is turned off for some seconds when the computer starts. Don't know what causes this but past Appguard versions didn't have this behavior. Or maybe my ssd boots to fast :D

    I'm still confused with the appguard license time limit. Is it yearly basis renewal? Or one year update+support but lifetime usage?

    as far as I can tell, you will only have to pay an additional fee for major version updates like Appguard 4.0 but basically when you purchase Appguard now you can use it as long as you like.

    hes right but you get update that are minor until the next major version. Appguard did have a lifetime updates but since changed it. you had to buy a license at that time to get the free updates for life on major version.

    @ellison64;

    I bought an extra license in early 2011 which was just before the "life-time" license offer was ended so you should be okay ;)
