Steve....paid for my account by cash in the mail. Sent on 3-11. When I put in the transaction # after downloading, it says Bad Transaction ID. It's been 6 days. How much longer do I have to wait.

jzeno, this isn't an appropriate area for support, yet. However, contact me offlist and we'll get you sorted. The number you put in may not be your Transaction ID.

Steve, some time ago I've tried to run a trial version of Xerobank but it didn't work. I kept getting error messages that the trial account was not recognized. At that time you were migrating your servers which seem to have caused some trouble judging from your posts.

However, I've now tried to get a trial version up and running again but I can't seem to get it to work. If I try to install the latest version I only get the option to upgrade the (uninstalled) prior version or open up a paid account. Nothing I can do to choose a trial. Could you please let me know how to set it up?

Eternal, PM me. We're removing that method of setting up a trial.

We now have built the installer to install xB Browser, xB Mail, and xB VPN all at once, depending on if you are a xB client or not.

There are some interesting things we're having to take into consideration for xB Mail. We want to distribute the user credentials, securely, so that xb clients don't have to configure their browser, we can do it for them. That means we need to rewrite some files on the fly, in addition to soft and hard settings.

Another issue it Tor for the mail client. Tor sucks because it has only 2 or 3 smtp exit nodes at any time. That means pickins are slim, and your chances of being blacklisted are high. Why are we releasing it for the Tor network? Because people want it. Perhaps we should instead switch it over to the mixmaster network... something to ponder later.

There are also a lot of rogue settings inside thunderbird that need investigation. The least of which is the "check for malicious xyz" and spam checkers. I know that the browser can work with goolge that way for your site surfing, but it is a scary thought that you are sending the contents of your mail to google to check it for spam. What are they thinking?

    More to investigate:
    Code:

I just signed up for XeroBank Plus today and have been really liking it. Thank you for providing such great service, and I hope that my good experience with XeroBank will continue for a long time. I have one question though, is it possible to use XeroBank Plus on another one of my computers or is it only limited to my laptop. Thanks.

You can use it on other computers.

Steve- Is XBVPN supposed to work with IRC, or no? Is my inability to connect due to server location, or something else? I can connect just fine when not using the vpn. Thanks

Currently you can only use Plus one instance at a time. You can install it to as many computers as you like, but you can't have it open on both at the same time because it thinks you are already connected.

I've found a way to make jim verard happy for a few moments: We've written a new plugin that allows him to use any theme in xb browser, while still imposing our throbber.

fuzzy, small delay. I'm aware everything is up and running but I've demanded more testing time to satisfy requirements before a commercial release. So we're going to put up a invite list tomorrow and start bringing people onboard in groups, probably for free demos, and getting manual feedback. However, the network is here and ready. We can get you in on one of the first invites if you email me.

    'lo

dont want to open an extra-thread

    just a little question:

Its possible to control exit/entry nodes by

    ExitNodes <Nickname>,<Nickname> and so on..
    EntryNodes <....

is there any command for the middleman ?

Im trying to restrict the channeling to very fast nodes, and it works pretty fast if i get a decent middleman but sometimes i pick one of these 1xx KB/s-nodes .. i think i dont need to comment the resulting speed :p

When connected to the VPN, is all network traffic covered? For example, if I am connected, would people on the local network be able to access my machine like via remote administration?

    Lorn,

What you can do is set circuit creation timeout to 8 seconds, making sure that only fast nodes have time to respond in circuit creation. You can set that tor command using xb config. In the next version, I think we already integrated it. :D

    SRA,

VPN is going to cover all your outbound traffic. However, if you have local network traffic, they could probably request your machine for remote admin because they aren't coming in over the same route as all your internet traffic. I'll get clarification on that.

    Thanks.

I've been waiting to get some e-gold in my account so I can buy a pro version, but today I upgraded my xerobank and guess what? Now it doesn't ask me if it can delete flash cookies, it just deletes them.

I've been playing Ninja for the last few months on breaks from doing 'work' and now I lost all my progress. It's probably going to take just as long to get to where I was.

    You just lost $360.

    Tostitos-

You are paying for a secure anonymous connection, not a way around security to play flash games. I understand your frustration, but I hope you learn from this and backup files that are extremely important to you no matter software you are installing.

Sorry about your trouble, Tostitos. Actually, I think if you amortize the $360 over a lifetime, the amount would come to thousands of dollars in lost revenues. We see really big incentives on trying to do the best for our clients.

So, there are two things to do here:
    1) Address the issue and see if we can resolve it.
    2) Tell you how to restore your data.

    1) I think we could avoid future problems like this by bringing back the dialog box, and giving additional options of "Yes, Always" and "No, Never". I think I'll issue this suggestion for xB Browser and xB Mail architecture. I don't know if this would apply to the VPN yet.

    2) If the space isn't already over-written by something else, you can run any undelete software and search for *.sol located in "%APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player" and recover the file. That should restore your game data.

I haven't been able to use XeroBank all day due to this message, "Your key has been refused by the server. Please contact support." What is wrong ? I have tried reinstalling but it doesn't seem to fix the issue.

I don't need to get around security to play flash games. This is my personal computer.

I guess I was just used to having the option to keep flash cookies each time I started Xerobank.

I am suffering the same problem right now. but this is only after i have purchased an account after i was so impressed with the demo!

Unfortunately due to the proxy in place in my country of residence i cannot access the web site directly for support... can you help perhaps?
