Has the router additional protection against unathorised outbound malware? Stateful Packet Inspection which most routers have does not cover unauthorised outbound traffic and in particular that which is produced by Trojan activity which may have gathered private data from the user and calls home with it.

From which testing reports or summaries are you stating this about Kaspersky and its anti-pup protection? It would be interesting to read about it.

    Best regards

very true but if you don't get malware in as it is the way we want to be malware free no malware in no malware out communication in the outer web,i know what you mean but it is better to get a strong restriction to denny malware rather than thinking that a trojam may be in the system and taking info out prevention is better nothing in,nothing out :) my believe
note:also when you are infected even your software firewall is fooled by malware and do nothing about it is kind of late :) malware is sneaky and stealth :)specially keyloggers and trojans

It's a magical mystery, but it magically works! (supposedly), and we're supposed to just trust that it does, and focus on the clever marketing, which will divulge all things to us in time.
