Any good free AV progs out at the moment

    My Fathers laptop has always been if not most of the time been using Avast Free edition, but I would not mind trying out something new and different. I am only looking purely for AntiVirus as he's already got a seperate FW.

    If the lappy is connected to the web then a cloud based solution could be the answer

    There's just not enough information to make an acceptable topic for discussion in the question "Any good free anti-virus programs?" The obvious answer is, Yes, of course there are many good, free anti-virus programs. Most are discussed in detail, in threads in this forum section. So, your best bet is to read about them and then pick one that sounds most like what you are looking for.
