    ... that's light on the system?
    Spybot is having trouble starting...
    spyware guard seems to make the system sluggish...
    Webroot's spy sweeper is really intensive but uses approx 30% CPU ,most of the time.
    How's Giant AntiSpyware?
    Any other program I should know knw of? Any FREEWARE?

    Hi no13,

    Spybot's Teatimer is probably the lightest that I have tried out. I think you will find that Giant uses more resources than Tea Timer. Spy Sweeper and Giant used about the same amount on my system. Not really noticeable unless I am running a full scan.

    WinPatrol seems to be a very light running program.

    Prevx is very effective against spyware and more, uses about 5mb of RAM and no noticable CPU usage.

    Spybot's Teatimer is not starting up well (sometimes it fails to start up), and its "alerts" dialog is pretty slow to come up (I mean loading time on screen).
