Today, I went to download something from Microsoft, and everytime I tried to initiate the download, this website actually intercepted my browser, performed a fake spyware scan, and prompted me to install something.

The only results for this in Google were posts on websites that were posted today, 8/14/08.

Note: I don't think Microsoft has been hacked. The posts that the Google search brings up reveal that people were experiencing this under different circumstances. One person who responded to a report about this thinks it may be caused by a trojan on the user's computer.

If you have not downloaded anything, then you *should* be safe, Try scanning with SAS and/or MBAM just to be sure.

none of the URLs work for me. Only one of them takes me to the Rogue site, but I can't get to download it.
