antivirus?

hi all i am in the mood to try a antivirus,after like a year finally i want to virus/spyware scan my machine
any good recomendation?i want some thing fast and efective and popular thanks in advance

 

Do you want just a scan or do you want to try a real-time antivirus?
If just a scan, download Dr.Web's CureIt!. No install at all, just execute the downloaded file.

BTW, I think this is not the right forum section for your question. Do a bit of reading and you'll find a lot of good suggestions.

Twister has not been tested. The effectiveness of the protection afforded by this AV is as yet undetermined. To use it as your frontline AV is a crapshoot.

I suggest your read several threads in this (the "Other Antivirus") topical category of Wilders, & also view some test results before making a final decision or purchase.
