does processguard prevent protected "applications" from being scanned by an antivirus program when running a manual scan?
Hi redwolfe_98. I always disable all my security appz (providing i'm offline) when doing scans etc. just in case something is blocked,(I find that they scan quicker aswell ). As for PG,i think that it would block some running services etc from being read,same for physical memory,if you haven't given your anti-virus the permissions to do so.
Typical AV (KAV, NOD32) open files with kernel access, I think both KAV and NOD32 will run and clean things without actually giving any access to any component They are just an interface attached to the driver which is doing all the important work, in kernel mode. PG won't stop this, it knows not to
