Antivirus for linux with protection?

Way to go, doktornotor! I'm getting myself more and more educated about these technologies so I can harden my own server. No more paying absurd prices for server administration!

AppArmor is already enabled in Ubuntu (like on openSUSE). You can't effectivly use AppArmor and SELinux at the same time. Besides I would recommend SELinux maily for Red Hat based distributions for now.

McAfee LinuxShield provides real-time protection. Using it on my Linux enterprise and file servers

If you want to make your free (personal) AV in linux to perform on-access protection. You will have to compile the drivers of Dazuko:

Then configure it to perform scan using your AV for every file access.
