Maybe Neweggs servers are just kind of swamped by too many orders...I got my code within 5 minutes of placing my order.

Could be. I at least have my invoice so I will not have to purchase twice :)

Grabbed a couple ESET NOD32 downloads.
I couldn't get anyone in VIPRE Customer Service to confirm that I could activate the new keys at a later date.
    So, hello ESET!
BTW, I received the product keys in less than 5 minutes. :thumb:

Sports fan how are you liking Eset with WSA? I was thinking of adding it but not really sure about Eset's detection.

Afaik, They have X amount of licenses that you can buy, and when no licenses are left then they have been sold out.

KJE, Havent gotten the ESET code yet from last night (Bought one more just to make sure it wasn't thrown away) But think they will work in tandem very nicely together.

the newegg deal for Eset is immediate download. If you have not gotten your license then you need to go to newegg and put back in your invoice number to ensure the deal went through.

Well, I picked up a copy of McAfee Antivirus Plus just to try it out. Never experienced it before, and for $4.99 it was fine, as I was never willing to pay for the regular price before. I am surprised by all the stuff packed into the program, the "plus" really means what it says. For awhile after downloading and initializing the computer ran a bit slow, but since several reboots over the last couple of days it has settled down and now seems to be running pretty light. I don't know, I am liking this more and more, and may stick with it for awhile.

What does that mean, trjam... "immediate download"?
Customer has to download, but not necessarily activate, the software right away?

No, not a joke. I'm aware of the negative sentiment around here toward this AV, but like I said, not risking much for $4.99. Seems okay to me, like the GUI and first full scan was thorough and quick. Don't see much down side at this point. Firewall seems solid. Site Advisor for blocking suspicious web traffic seems okay as well. Nothing to complain about. I'll report back if issues arise. I'm looking forward to comparing McAfee with two AVs I'm using on my other two computers, namely Norton Internet Security and ESET Smart Security.
