anti-virus & smart security

Why did I have to pay for both nod 32 anti-virus and smart security 5 if when I download one the other one is automatically installed?

I downloaded smart security then attempted to dowload the anti-virus but it told me that it was already installed.

 

Ok thank you. I guess I'm no longer a virgin on this forum. So I paid for both ESS and NOD anti-virus but when I install one and then try to install the other I get the message: It's already installed. And I read somewhere that you shouldn't install both on one pc

 

You would install either the suite or AV on your PC, not both.

 

ess already has the av built into it. and it adds the firewall. you can use a ess lic for nod32 but not the other way around. this means if you decide you dont need/want/like the firewalland just want the av uninstall ess and install nod32 by itself. hope that helps
