Hi, I am looking for a solution to detect and prevent rootkits.

I have a Windows 2003 server and am looking for intrustion detection and prevention system that can deny rootkits, specifically Hacker Defender. Keep in mind I am looking for software to be run on the server, not a firewall. I am looking for something that is stable on Windows 2003. Do you guys know what kind of software is out there for this?

    Thanks for any help.

to stop crackers interceping requests to your server then when they have managed to do that sending spoofed IP addresses to you, you can slightly lower the size of your receive window. it's a subject i find fairly complicated, but if someone knowledgable wants to find out more i'd be happy to explain. however, it's right on the outer limits of my skills, but, i think i can explian, if needed.

the result is it is much harder for a cracker to gain access to you then install things like rootkits.
