Thanks for the new version, I hope HIPS will add protection against this new methods, it´s always nice to have as much protection as possible. Of course, even if tools might be able to record keystrokes they will still need to bypass the firewall, not?

Comodo Beta 3 still has issues to fix, directx vulnerability still in existence.

    Even in paranoid mode:

And as AKLT creator described: These methods work in restricted user accounts too!
So forget your non admin mode you may block cheap worms and oldschool rootkits but not new exploits.

I've already reported the DirectX problem for BETA 3 in the Comodo Beta Forum. What I don't understand is why the initialization takes so long. Once my desktop appears and I look at the CFP main menu, it is already initialized.

Do you happen to have Terminal Services disabled?

This will cause CFP to take a long time to initialize. Supposed to be fixed with RC1.

    Hello Adric,
Yes I erased terminal service, that might be the reason.

Also, a work-around for the DirectX vulnerability is to remove the %windir%\system32\*.dll rule in Defense+ All applications Policy ----> windows hooks . Apparently, this rule did not exist in the previous beta. At least that is what I read over in the Comodo Beta forum. I'd be interested as to why the rule was added.

    Yes that is really strange.

I already tested with v.2.5, the same, nothing changed related to directx issue of Comodo Beta. http://i13.tinypic.com/4l60y69.png

I tested AKLT again with your method but the same, directx vulnerability remains.

I tested the pro version which is what i normally use.. I believe the only difference in the versions is what areas they protect and i'd say all would pass if tested in their respective areas.

Edit: Just tested out the personal version and it passes all the tests. The only slight drawback is it doesn't recognise all login screens. It encrypts keystrokes when logging in to this site but if i log into hotmail my keystrokes are not encrypted for some reasono_O

Free Version lost the first four tests, if you combine with good anti keylogger we only have directx that still logs.
