Another Kaspersky question

I am new around here - found you whilst searching for someone who had some info on KAH. I have it on my new Dell notebook XP Prof and I also use KAV.
KAV - no problem.
KAH - I cannot understand all the tcps and udps etc etc. I have reinstalled it so many times now, so that I could go round the "customise it yourself" set up. I seem to get awfully bogged down. My problem is being unable to network to my other two computers. I now have the two others able to "see" me but I cannot "see" them. they are joined by a hub and were working well, until I bought this new notebook.
Also - there is nothing ever written in the logs - never was on the old notebook either! The logging facility has been checked but nothing happens.
any help for this ignoramous please?
