How do "the resident experts" perform these basic tasks
    when using Win2K&XP operating systems?

Where's the best site to check yourself on?

Do you daisy chain proxies? What's your technique?

What's the best proxy finding software to use?

Is there software you can't live without to do this?

Is is best to shell out the cash a get anomilizering service/software?

    Your comments would be appreciated.

First, you have to ask yourself if you really need to be anonymous.
Unless you go to shall we say to some not recommended sites, a simple http proxy such as Naviscope will block almost anything you don't want others to see other than your IP. I've used Jap on few occasions in the past, daisy chained to Naviscope, but be aware that anomysers will slow your surfing tremendously.

[EDIT] I posted before I saw MickeyTheMan responded. So by no means do I think that he is not an expert :) [/EDIT]
