    Hello,

My English is terrible but still I want to try this.
The problem: When I‘m on a site witch want to install something (with permission) on my computer the window with the security text about trust, will not come. I see some movements but no window. I discover this at first by windows update and with a diagnostic program at the site off HP. Also I think that the automatic windows update won’t work but I’m not sure about that.
Do you have any idea what is going on here? This is my HijackThis log:

I’m running Windows XP pro with service pack 1, also Spybot S&D, SpywareGuard and Adshield. Can I have misplaced a setting in one of those? o_O

    Hi kever,

Have you tried putting the Windows Update site in your Trusted zone (Vertrouwde websites)?
The security settings for the internet zone might be too strict. Which is not necessarily bad.
I do notice the ActiveX elements from the Postbank (under O16) but there is no entry from Windows Upsdate there.
Assuming the Postbank site works for you, the above should help.

    Regards,

    Pieter

Oh OK I see. No, you can't just make that yourself. It will be installed once we get the Windows update site to install it.

Is that account the only one you have on that computer?

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Kever,

Have you tried unchecking all the boxes in AdShield when you go to Windows Update?
Go to the Windows update site, click the Adshield icon in IE's taskbar, in the menu that appears on the left side uncheck all the boxes and, if necessary, click the refresh button in IE.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hello Pieter,

That did the trick. I unchecked all the boxes en made an refresh and Bingo!!!

The windows update site wasn't on the exclude list.

    Thanks, an other problem solved.

    Kever
