An Experience with windows backup

    In Disk Management the blank disk setting is Convert to GPT Disk. This writes a GUID partition table with a 16 MB Microsoft Reserved Partition (not seen in Disk Management). You are now ready to create partitions or restore images. When restoring a "Entire Drive Image" you don't have to Convert to GPT.

    That's great, but doesn't help on an MBR system
