    "Amazon's AI-Enhanced Grocery Store Can't Handle Crowds

The store is plagued with technical problems, according to the Wall Street Journal, including sensors that don't recognize purchases unless shoppers move slowly.

...According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon has delayed the public opening of the store, called Amazon Go, which was originally expected to start selling goods to the public early this year in the company's hometown of Seattle. Amazon’s “Physical Store Online Shopping Control” prevents in-store users looking at competitors’ prices..."

"... Amazon has filed a patent for the sinisterly titled “Physical Store Online Shopping Control”. This is a system that would allow Amazon to intercept certain URLs and search terms, accessed across the Wi-Fi of its new physical stores. In essence, it’s a way to stop customers from checking whether items can be bought for cheaper..."

Amazon wants to snoop on customers who come into price check.

    They're afraid of the competition?

Walmart's search engine needs working on. Compare searching for "Polo shirt for man" at Walmart VS Amazon sites. At Walmart site I got a mix of mostly men but with women's & children's shirts as well. All the men's shirts were very dark colors. Amazon's page was exclusively men's shirts & included bright colored as well as dark colored shirts. Walmart has a good idea. Now they need to work on execution or they will keep on eating Amazon's dust.
