Amazon Argues Users Don't Actually Own Purchased Prime Video Content The streamer says its terms of use are clear: What viewers are paying for is a limited license October 28, 2020 https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t...nt-actually-own-purchased-prime-video-content
I assumed this to be the case and it is why I will never "buy" content on a streaming platform. I'll be sad to see DVDs disappear. I can watch them when I want and don't need working internet to do so.
Well they are not dead yet. In fact I've bought a few Tv series and a couple of movies recently from Amazon no less.
They'll be around for a bit. They don't seem to be releasing new shows on disk. Ebay sometimes has some good deals on box sets. As hard as they pushed Blu-ray they seem to be disappearing even faster. It's time to stock up now on what you want. They'll go the way of VHS soon enough.
I hope he wins the case, because I honestly think this is a scandal, Apple and Amazon should be ashamed! How the heck can you buy content that might disappear in the future? I believe you should be able to at least download content that you buy. And BTW, dvd's aren't an option for me, we already discussed this in another thread, I have to skip a whole lot of garbage before I can actually play the damned thing.
