Alternative to Secunia PSI

    Avast latest version also include an update checker...

    new avast has application updater build into it and its good.

    For a good MS update checker, i always used to use this, before i reinstalled & don't bother with ANY now :D

    What i really liked about it is, the ability to for it to take you directly to the appropiate Technet links, for EACH of the listed missing updates, Critical or otherwise. Then you can decide which, if any you want to install = :thumb:

    Only problem with the avast updater is that you cannot manually add programs to be updated and from what i have seen it is very limited in what it can update.
    For example on my computer it only lists IE and adobe flash player as updated.If anyone knows how to add programs then please share the knowledge.

    Filehippo update checker only updates software you have installed from the filehippo site.

    For usability and the ability to add programs manually i would choose SUMO as the best updating software.
