I am a newbie trialling NOD32 as a replacement for Norton Antivirus 2005. I have one major nag. When Norton did a scheduled scan, it did so at a below normal priority. This meant that if I wanted to do something else while the scan was progressing it was easy to gain control of the machine. NOD32 does its scan at normal priority. This means that if the scan is already happening it takes a l-o-n-g time for anything else I want to do to get started.
I know how to reduce the priority to below normal once the scan has started, via the task manager, and then everything is fine. But when the machine restarts the following day, the priority is back to normal again.
It seems so much more sensible to run a scan on a low priority. There is normally no rush about scanning. Is there any way I can permanently alter the priority of the scan to below normal?
