Hello... I'm a happy user of Agnitum Outpost pro. I've seen that in my partially allowed apps, there's this alg.exe (application layer gateway service) which is allowed to Allow Alg redirect (allow incoming tcp) and Outgoing TCP Ftp is also allowed...
    Why these authorizations?
I feel like placing this alg.exe in the upper column, i.e. in Never Allowed Apps so that it would never connect to the net and I don't risk anything. Or is it foolish?!

What should I do? If I do that, shall I miss some ftp services over the internet? Is my internet connection going to suffer from my placing it in the Never Allowed group?

    Thxs for advices

The only need for this (I have found) is if you are using "XP firewall" or "ICS" (internet connection sharing). Blocking this will not effect your FTP or internet connection while using OP (and as long as you do not require ICS)
