Slowly I am now coming to the end of this multiple post. It was easier for me to do it in several separated posts. I hope that it has helped and that I was able to express it in the right way. Maybe there are other questions and issues that I have not covered or forgot or am not aware of. I tried to do my best.

Once again I would like to thank Al !!

    Thanks all for your patience.

I am very glad that Al gave us users a way to continue to use the program(s). And I do want to thank Al for that!!!

But we have also to be aware that at some moment in the future not all programs for which AJSystems could give backups, will at that moment be covered.
Just one example: the latest Firefox version 57 is not tested by AJSystems to be covered. It may or it may not. Not to speak about future versions of (just for example) Outlook and Thunderbird.

Maybe in other, new threads here in this subforum "backup, imaging & disk mgmt" we could talk about alternatives.

For now I think that I'm closing.

    Regards,
    Jan

    Hi molhopicante,
    I'm really sorry!
I guess that you are not alone. I have to leave that to Al. (I told him about it but I also don't want to give any false hope).

    Hi all,

I have taken an, although difficult, decision.
I think that it is best, at this point, that users should directly get in contact with AJSystems. From there they will get more info (I suppose).
If you don't know how to do that, start your AJSystems program, go to Help > Request Support by Email.
Or look in Help > Help Contents > Product support.
I tried to give you help, but at this point getting yourself in contact with AJSystems is in my humble opinion the best.

    Regards

    Hi All

At this point I am ready to give Al the rest he deserves. At the moment all the software is working so my immediate decision is do nothing. If you are inclined to change the closest thing I've found is a program by these folks -hxxp:\\xxx.mobackup.com- The only thing I know is when I sent them a question I had a response the next day, which is good.

Sadly it was the end for my Outback Plus.

I installed a new C: drive an reinstalled OBP.

When sent the reactivation code he gaves me the error code 802.

    Hi molhopicante,
I'm really sorry to hear that!

    In November 2017 you posted
I guess you were not able to buy the last OBP10 anymore. Is that right?

The problem is that only OBP10 got a special version for licensed users.
I explained it in reply # 74, well what Al had told me.

I wished it all otherwise. Yes, I wished the great programs were still maintained and available. But Al retired and we have to respect that at his age.
As Pete posted: "At this point I am ready to give Al the rest he deserves". And I can only agree with that.

    Just for your info:

I tried to get to the familiar site http://ajsystems.com/
Alas, the site, which we users were so familiar with, is nomore.
(you are redirected to a webhosting company)
At some moment it was to be expected since Al retired and AJSystems closed shop.

Once again I would like to thank Al for his great programs and all his great support for so many years.
Al, if you read this, all my heartfelt best wishes !!
