After a couple of days thread no longer editable - why?

    After a few days I come to find that earlier threads are no longer editable. I wanted to edit a thread that was only last edited by myself 3 days ago but now I can't. What's up? No no the thread was not locked.... I can edit the last two replies I made in it but everything else I cannot.

    theres a time limit on editting posts; i believe its five days since u posted.
