Looking for an adblocker, heard lots of god things about adshield and im currently trying it out. Also heard of adpurger.

Does anyone know anything about this program and how it compares to adshield?

Are there any other adblocking programs that are worth looking into.? (besides proxo)

I use AdShield myself, and it really does what it should do:

It sits quietly in the background blocking all ads, banners, and popups.

I tend to forget it's there, which is IMHO the greatest compliment you could make an application of this sort.

A new version that will include a number of additional options, like a blocklist editor, and an Ignore List, among other things, is in development, and that will make the program even better.

If you want bells and whistles, including the possibility of tweaking everything under the sun, Proxo's for you.

If not, I truly think that AdShield is the very best you can get.

    And it's freeware!
