    i dont see any evidence
webrtc need manual interaction by default, always. sites need to ask if cam/audio are allowed or not. user decision is saved in the settings for audio/video. so why block it?
"p4" means not really important, maybe never. (its same as mozilla sets priorities, anything marked with p3 or lower may be resolved sometime, or never)

I noticed that AG works better if after activating the extension I clear cookies, cache, history from the browser.
A deeper cleaning with software outside the browser is even better to make the extension work faster.

you have some evidence for these words?
my experience is always that external cleaners will trash any kind of profile and browser will lose performance. the concerned browser does not know about this cleaning and need to rebuild or repair several files which costs time and thus performance. working on databases means also losing performance.

Not direct evidence, let's say more findings.
    Increased fluidity,speed,functionality.

I am sure that AG MV3,like uBlock Origin Lite integrates more deeply with the browser than MV2 adblockers.
Not only that the blocking is due to the browser itself.

So more cleaning of the browser itself before using it,especially if you usually use an MV2 adblocker,is beneficial.

But I may be wrong of course, only the extension engineers know in depth how it works especially when the service worker switches from active to inactive state and the other way around.

I wouldn't use Chrome due to Google neutering ad blockers with MV3.

"The goal was to improve privacy, but that never actually happened. Because effective extensions compliant with Manifest V3 will need to request access to every single website…users could become complacent with these requests, and make themselves more vulnerable to rogue actions.”
"Extensions will lose important tools and permissions that have previously allowed them to quickly react to new threats directly from the user device". Google is not flat out stopping developers from making ad blockers, but they now face more restrictions than before."

Article that does not develop in a technical way,but only popularizes, the Manifest V3 problem.
This is why I am directing various of my resources (thus much of my free time) to try to improve AG MV3 by the June 2025 deadline.
AG,if we consider only the extensions,is the best alternative in Chromium browsers,to uBlock Origin.

unlock Origin cannot block cookie consent notices no matter what filter I tried (ie. I don't care about cookies, Fanboy's annoyances list), I don't know how people even use this adblocker

Yes I imagined that you are one of those who live thinking that only what they do themselves, is the best for everyone else...............
    Good luck to you too.

    omg...
google is "neutering" nothing, it only limits access and changed api. adguard mv3 is similar good blocking as ublock, a valuable sequel. ublock lite is currently not from my view, but also this one have its audience.

firefox is anyhow a good choice, but we will see how far hill will support it when uBoL gets the whole attention from him.
a true lie. otherwise i need to say that ublock files have been broken somehow. uninstall and re-install and set up from scratch. some users...
thank you for your experience, i will have it in mind, when i get to this point. :thumb:

    ________________________________

Today I performed a website compatibility test.
I chose a well-known free movie/fiction content website in my country:

    https://www.raiplay.it/

For uniformity of testing I have to attempt access with Facebook account.

If any Wilders members want to do a test just try logging in with FB.
To attempt login you need to go to the top right corner where it says:

    “ACCEDI”

    Edge + UBO

A red pop-up at the top informs me that login is not possible (without having attempted to log in) and I should disable UBO.

With UBO disabled, login is possible:

    https://ibb.co/PQnHnVs

    FF + UBO

No red pop-up,but FB login doesn't work:

    https://ibb.co/cvhH5W2

    Edge + AG

    Login is possible.

    _________________________________________________________________________

I have no idea if abroad and with other browsers (and different filter lists than I use) the behavior is different.;):)

I requested the improvement of the Service Worker reactivation time:

    https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/issues/3040

I would be very interested if you notice a lower reactivation time than I estimated.
    TH.:thumb:

    P.S.

With this other lack of functionality (or bug):

    https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/issues/3041

,which is common to UBO Lite,it seems to me,at present, almost useless to have custom filters.
So the only useful custom filter list to include,is Kees1958's MV3 filter list.

With the latest v.5.x.169 the ads blocker after reactivating the Service Worker works very well.
No change instead for the scriptlets functionality.
But I will not notify this minor problem.

Yes,I have been trying for several months to improve some bugs/missing features that bother me a lot.
The difficulty is not finding the bugs.

It is finding a procedure to point out the bug for sure, which is reproducible with a 100% rate and fast for the developers who will have to fix the bug.

for #213 i missed. isnt that more a ublock issue? i can confirm that adguard is proper working (edge mv3 and fx mv2).
for #221 adguard mv2 also do not handle the cookie banner. but the element is now part of my personal anti consent css, moreover i send a message to the consent-o-matic team that its not working on msfn.
adguard is not able to perform all consent banners.

    Out AdGuard AdBlocker v. 5.0.171.

It is recommended to enable “Disable WebRTC + specific scriptlet to also disable SDP log (Browserleaks test).
