I deleted the old filter list and subscribed to the new one.
Only way to have the filter list updated before the next version of AG MV3.

Aside from the latency of a few delayed blocked pop-ups and some cookie warning pop-ups appearing more frequently than uBlock Origin,because in my opinion the AG Cookie Notices list has lower performance than EL Cookie Notices,I notice that the extension has excellent usability.

 

that list added to my current setup increases d3ward misses from 2 -> 3.
i use more internal lists, but not the url shortener as adguard has another one
currently: 154949 rules. (firefox mv2: 225672)
nevertheless adguard performs slower than ublock, a lot slower. also the button if enabled for site or not has a huge lag, in both browser. but whats really annoying is the reload of a page when turning adguard off for site. this is not wanted and the lag to the reload is not acceptable.
tested with latest edge.

what i assume: mv3 blockers need lesser rules but more flexible rules, and a faster engine.

 

These issues are probably due to the fact that Adguard MV3 is not entirely declarative like µBOL. Adguard developers have applied more hacks, given MV3 restrictions, to enable some of its "more advanced" features.

For Wilders members I have prepared a video where you can see the difference in blocking between uBlock origin (MV2) and Adguard MV3.

You can see that the blocking,in the MV3 extension, which is done directly from the browser, has a different layout.

addendum: i finally need to convert some uBo rules to adguard:
:has-text() is :contains()
:nth-ancestor() is :upward()

 

Ha ha, so simple it can be. With me the rule worked without 'important', because I didn't use AG Base filter. It's the risk of tampering with custom rules.

is one thing that ublock offers when creating rules from logger.
"important" means that it overrides any existing rule elsewhere

 

So be careful with it and know what you're doing. Especially in relation to custom made whitelist rules.

Unfortunately, I can't add some filter lists.
I will not notify this bug.

In my opinion the rule blocking WebRTC is inefficient.
I used a custom rule (scriptlet) that has a less than perfect operation.

P.S.

If the NOT problem (for the AG Team) that I have already brought to the attention of forum members a few post above is still present in the stable version, consider that your custom lists will not be updated when the extension version is updated.

for your last question, either you have reached the maximum of lists (max is 5 - see orange warning text), or those lists are already integrated, or it exceeds the max of 5000 own rules.

anyhow mv3 is very limited in comparison to mv2. i think adguard changed something, i cannot import an older setting, maybe because of that limits.

in edge all filter lists were disabled, v5. it does not only happen for v4.

Have you tried to insert these filter lists?

The 2 filter lists I would like to insert are obviously not custom filter lists.
And always obviously I have not reached the limit of dynamic rules.

Better than WebRTC protection available but not perfectly efficient.

 

webrtc need always permission, per site. that why dont care because i get a notification anyhow, no need to block it.

first yes, second no on first try, second try ok. third try after removal and restart ok. 5.0.78.

for the answer about error messages - adguard throw messages or notifies you when something went wrong. either your personal list exceed 5000, or the list is already in the pre-defined lists. or you cannot add them because of wrong name, server not responding, wrong format, faulty lists content, whatever.

however they broke 5.0.91 from chromestore.

i loaded the 5.0.91 with firefox as archive and installed it into edge - i could add both links on first try, nor is the extension broken. dunno what they did in chrome store but the adguard team messed it up
ok, close, opening the extension error console in edge show up an error, so they broke it. dropping.

I can't add the AG Quick Fixes filter.
I entered 4 lists of custom filters:

1. Actually Legitimate URL Shortener Tool
2. ClearURLs for uBo (unofficial)
3. EasyList Italy (minified)
4. EU US ads&tracking networks MV3 (third-party blocking only)

• 3867 Dynamic rules
• 62888 Static rules

My scriptlet rule for WebRTC still has unreliable operation,but when it works it also hides SDP Log.

I installed both on my Chrome browser and they look basically the same thing.

 

Yes it is strange that there is still the beta version.
I had the beta I backed up the settings uninstalled the beta,installed the stable and then imported all the settings.
