Street view is back. It looks like that some filter update resolved the issue. Btw, I've got all available filters enabled. Is it wrong?
A few issues on http://www.tipcars.com 1) The foreground ad. Can you block it? 2) Selecting any car opens the new window with car details and there is an ad on top of the window. I blocked it manually but if I open another car details here is a new ad? Can you centrally block all these ads?
Thanks! The foreground ad is gone but ads in car details are still there. Can you try something else? JFYI, www.tipcars.com is the Czech server regardless on its *.com domain.
Confirmed Thanks! It is not a big deal. Most ads are blocked by all your filters and if something slips through I am blocking it manually. The problem with tipcars was that each card showed new ad. EDIT: Anyway, is it viable to have also Czech filter one day?
In Gmail ads are blocked when viewing a "folder" like Inbox, Sent, etc. But when going to read a single email I get still ads on the right side of the email field and at the bottom of it.
I am not sure that we'll add our own filter, but we'll give an opportunity to add EasyList subscriptions soon.
Hello, First off, a few observations and then, a few questions... I am currently using Chrome as my default browser. I have noticed three scenarios from posts here on the forums: Some used Adguard for Windows, but have switched to using the Chrome extension only. Some used the Chrome extension, but have switched to using Adguard for Windows only. Other users use both Adguard for Windows and the Chrome extension. I use Adguard for Windows only and have not tried the Chrome extension. Now for the questions... These question will assume that I only use Adguard for filtering the Chrome browser and no other browsers or apps. Is there any advantages or disadvantages to any of these three setups? Do I gain or lose anything (as to features, resource usage, performance, etc.) with any of these three setups? Is running only Adguard for Windows considered best and perform better than the others? Any answers to these questions and/or any other comments will be greatly appreciated... Also, I thought I had read a post somewhere that stated the Adguard extensions only blocked the loading of filtered objects into the browser itself (does not block the download of them), while Adguard for Windows does both. If I indeed did read that somewhere, I cannot now find where I did. Does anyone know the answer as to whether this is actually the case?
New issue with Gmail today. 1. Run CCleaner to clean up Chrome 2. Sign in again: blue bar loads up to 90%, then is stuck. Switching to HTML View solves the problem, Gmail is available. But still, Standard view is not. 3. Disabling ADGuard fix it, able to access Gmail Standard view. 4. Re-enabled AdGuard and reloading Gmail: problem occurs again.
OK as discussed in other Adguard thread, it looks like there is some issue with Gmail today but not for all users. @avatar will have to have a look what's going on.
Further investigating. I think the problem is caused by one updated filter. 1. Removed AdGuard from Chrome 2. Reinstalled from WebStore 3. Tested Gmail: all is fine 4. Updated the filters of Adguard 5. Tested Gmail: same problem again
The extension looks like it only hides ads. I was wondering if this situation has changed recently. http://blog.adguard.com/en/adguard-news/a-free-lite-version-of-adguard-for-google-chrome.html
It's ok and it cannot be changed. Any extension (including ABP, Adblock) hide lots of ads using CSS rules. Many of ads are blocked though (if it can be blocked by URL). The point of that post is that Adguard for Windows (and for Mac soon) can literally remove (not hide) some parts of the web page before browser gets it.
Any change in stance that update filters button will be available also in the extension window? Every time I go to check filter updates recalls me that it would be convenient to have this update check button also there.
