Ok I have one more idea how we can apply filtering rules after extension initialization.

But we can do nothing with favicons issue - they are loaded before extension init and unlike page elements we can't block them after extension init is finished.

How you will resolve it? By a filter update? I updated all filters now but still having the issue.

A green stripe on top of the page. Unfortunately this stripe appears randomly and I don't have a pattern to reproduce it. :-(

I'll use it for some time, let's wait until I see it on my own.

It is the first time I see that some problems with ads need to be solved under the hood and not simply by filters updates. Whatever way, it is good it will be gone. :)

I mean the issue with selecting a banner (and blocking all the page instead). It shouldn't be like this.

OK, thanks for the clarification. These ads are pretty obtrusive as they are big and they take a lot of webpage space.

Can you also something do with ads appearing on the ride side as, for instance, seen here? This ad changes and appears in all articles on domain *.idnes.cz*

Could you please check this filter?
    Code:
    ||data.idnes.cz/nocache/DPP/dacan/

If it does not break anything I'll add it to main filters

Seems OK but it flashes a little bit before it is fully blocked but still better than nothing.

I have a question, sorry if it was answered already.
Does Adguard for Android allow user to make his own block rule?
Can it be used as default-dany firewall?
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, using Adguard's user filter.
Although it is not simple, you should be good at constructing filters and it's better to test filters with desktop AG or browser extension:
    http://adguard.com/en/filterrules.html

Not yet. Soon we'll release version 1.2 which contains full-featured firewall module.

    Thanks for quick reply!
Both are great, especially full-featured firewall!
I hope it is interactive i.e. making popup when sth is blocked (Dr.Web don't popup so you have to investigate logs), and use domain name resolution and accept domain based rules with wildcard.
From change log, I assume Adguard can block UDP connection, right? Noroot firewall can't block it.
I'll definately try it out with VPN mode once 1.2 coming out.

    One more update, version 2.0.2-beta:
    https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/releases/tag/2.0.2-beta

    Changelog:
    * Fixed language-specific filters auto-detect in Opera and Yandex Browser
    * Added cache for url filter rules (we need it in FF because of tons of shouldLoad calls)
    * Fixed a bug with AG icon after closing filtering log in Firefox
    * Fixed Browsing security work in PaleMoon
    * Fixed a memory leak caused by editing user filter
    * Fixed AG icon style in FF
    * Fixed an issue with browser startup (we now apply filters right after extension init on browser startup)
    * Fixed element selection (forum.iphone.cz issue)

Sorry, I though I posted in Adguard for Android thread, but mistook.
Can mod kindly move my post #290 & #292 to the relevant thread?
    Thanks!

And have you checked ad blocking on browser startup?
    Is it ok now?
