    Disables Noroot Firewall. I prefer to keep the fw.

    The Adguard beta version has a firewall that does not require root. No need for Noroot Firewall.

    I have been running the beta for several weeks now and it seems just as stable as the release version and is faster as well. You can get the latest version here:

    Strange. Now it doesn't ask for a vpn and it doesn't close nrfw. Gonna play a little.

    Maybe, just maybe that's because it wasn't enabled. :thumbd:

    Nah, the firewall doesn't warn/block when a new app goes online. Am I missing something?

    Not yet, it is planned for the next major version (2-3 months from now).

    Unfortunately, there's no way to keep noroot fw (or other vpn-based app) if you don't have root (and that's the main reason why we work on our own firewall).

    Ok, great to hear. The whole package will be more than tempting then.

    DNS filtering is promising but needs a little bit more of polishing. DNS ads aren't removed completely, in fact they're replaced by wording “Webpage cannot be load”.

    DNS filtering has pros and cons.

    Pros:
    1. It is faster. We need only one UDP packet to block DNS request.
    2. It is light on your battery. DNS responses are cached by the device.

    Cons:
    1. We can't control it on per-app level. So even if you disable ad filtering for a particular app - it won't work if DNS filtering is enabled.
    2. DNS filtering can be applied only for domains (like google-analytics.ocm and such). For fine-grained blocking we'll use a normal way anyway.

    PS: What has happened to Wilders?:)

    @stapp, yep, thanks:)

    I prefer to keep white bg, here is a rule for AG users:
    Code:
    wilderssecurity.com#$#.messageList .message { background-color: #fff!important; }

    We are really close to version 2.0 release.

    Changelog for 2.0.16
    * Fixed some important bugs in Firewall stats (missed stats for some apps)
    * Improved UDP/TCP connections handling, which led to the load reduction and increase of max concurrent connections count.
    That's important if you use apps creating lots of connections, like torrent clients.
    * Fixed some issues with app lifecycle, restarting/reconnecting on network change
    * Fixed some minor UI bugs

    Shame on me, missed it:(

    I've just made a commit which adds com.amazon.cloud9 package (Silk) to the browsers list, so it will be in release.
    Thank you for reminding me about that!
