No problem, working very well thus far. I was just curious as to how many more servers are being added and how well spread out the servers are as your team gets closer to coming out of beta phase. My hope is that your coverage/spread of servers will be similar to that of OpenDNS and therefore my hope is that someday there will be an Adguard DNS server in Toronto, Canada area similar to OpenDNS. :thumb:

Making story short, we still didn't do it, and now we are looking for a new hosting provider.

    Long version:

We set up four more servers in different locations using the same hosting provider back then when I gave you the ETA. Everything looked good, and we were ready to announce it. However, while conducting the final tests, we found out that our provider actually does not have geo-aware routing.

Here's what I am talking about:
    1. We have two servers on the East Coast, two on the West Coast and two in Amsterdam.
    2. Let's take you live in Paris.
    3. In theory, your connection should be routed to Amsterdam.
    4. In practice, your connection is routed to a random server, and you might end up connected to the West Coast server instead.

So, they told us that geo-aware routing would be ready in a couple of months. We decided to be patient and wait, as we liked their service and they are generally very nice guys. But after all, it appeared to be a wrong decision, as it is still not ready, and we can't afford to wait for more.

Now we are looking for a new hosting provider, which will allow us to set up geo-aware routing.

I'd like to emphasize, that it was our mistake, and I don't want to blame our previous hosting provider. We should have been more specific with what we need from the beginning.

People make mistakes, but it takes courage to admit them and have a will to actually fix them, most companies are deny everything or blame others. Adguard DNS is still in beta, so it is OK. :thumb:

I have noticed something new, a message about blocked pages, a nice touch. Some people might thing it is nothing, but it small details, which show, how much you care. Unlike MS, that does not.

8 new servers are ready (US-west, US-east, NL, Singapore), waiting for Anycast setup now. ETA -- 2 weeks.

Parental protection has been there all along. What age did you set yours for?

DNS does not provide different sensitivity levels.

When are we going to get some servers in Australia? Adguard DNS is quite slow here compared to some others.

Singapore is the closest location to Australia we could get at this point.

Btw, check what's your ping to as1.sg.dns.adguard.com

Hm, guys, you know what, it appears that with the new hosting we can set up servers in Sydney. I've overlooked it last time I checked.

True blue! Things are to get better for you all, mates :)

Hello @avatar ! Thank you for adding SG servers. I'm using Opendns currently and am routed to their Japan server. Hopefully I get better latency with your service. :D

I see Adguard DNS becoming Yandex DNS in the future. :D I don't mind your service using Yandex search for Nxdomains if it'll mean faster servers and additional locations! :D

My bad. I should have looked at the thread topic. I thought I was posting about Adguard for windows. Is there any advantage of using this new DNS over the desktop version I now use?

Ping is a bit high for me: ~ 223 ms, as opposed to my ISP 28 ms and Google and OpenDNS 46 and 47 ms respectively, according to DNS Jumper.

But then I am a*se end of the planet :D
