avatar, looked through almost all the threads and did not see this question about producing the add/on for PaleMoon browser, any chance of that happening?
We have special xpi for older Firefox-based browsers: https://chrome.adtidy.org/app.html?app=legacy.xpi
Good call, @avatar you are right. The advertisements in Windows 10 modern apps are removed now. So the majority of content was HTTP and the advertisement stuff is all HTTPS. Sneaky Microsoft. This is my first time trying out filtering HTTPS with Adguard and it's great, I must admit. Thank you.
Given the shift in a lot of advertising these days going toward encrypted HTTPS connections and the fact that Adguard takes SSL quite seriously, I am very glad that I decided to purchase a lifetime licence. I assume we are supposed to add our banking sites to the Exclusions list for SSL, is that correct?
Yep, if they aren't there already. Also i'd be glad if you PM me domain names so we could add these domains to the default exclusions list.
Since the last update AFW has not been working good and has trouble completely loading sites like facebook. I tried to made a exception to facebook with the assistant. I can't find where the exceptions are listed and how to remove them. The assistant icon is not displayed on the screen anymore now.
Look in the user filter (switch to extended interface, then Adguard settings - "Ad Blocker"). What was wrong with facebook exactly? Can you take a screenshot of the issue and send it in PM?
On the botton left of screen with chrome i usually see ....waiting for XXXXXX..and the site will not finish loading until i refresh chrome then it might finish loading. With AFW off ... this is not happening.
I was using 6350 for the last few days. I just updated to 6352 a minute ago. Will see if it works any better than 6350 which did not let me get to the internet anymore after i made that exception.....6352 lets me get to the internet and i see the assistant icon again.
Websites had trouble finishing loading completing the last few days about the time i think i updated the last version of chrome and to 6350 of AFW and the next day after i installed the June MS Updates. As of right now since i updated to 6352 sites are finishing loading with no problems.
@avatar One issue that I have noticed since enabling SSL filtering recently is that on Outlook.com/Hotmail/Live platform of web-based email, it automatically switches your status to Available. I have always had my status as Invisible for many years now as a preference. But everytime I log back in it goes straight to Available as long as Adguard has SSL filtering enabled. Is there any way to correct this within the filters?
@WildByDesign Sorry for delay. We've looked into that issue and we just can't reproduce it. Which filters do you use in AG?
@avatar My Adguard setup is pretty basic. English filter and Spyware filter. User filter is blank. SSL filtering is enabled. When I disable SSL filtering, the problem with Outlook.com goes away. It only happens with SSL filtering enabled. I will try some more tests later as well to see if I can help narrow it down. Thank you for your time. EDIT: I was able to do some more testing. Also, I confirmed that this is happening in Firefox as well as Chrome. I tried turning of the Spyware filter and Malware/Phishing protection in Adguard and went down to bare bones English filter. Also, even after switching my status back to Invisible, every hour or so it automatically switches me back into Available. So I may have to disable SSL filtering for now or I may just add outlook.com servers to Exclusion list. This is really tricky and complex at the moment.
@avatar Just noticed that folder Adguard in the Start Menu is empty. No executable file to start or uninstall Adguard. Using beta channel and having v2043.
Only product other than modifying the HOSTS file that works for Windows Store apps... On Windows 10, even BA.net DNS adblock doesn't work.
I added exceptions for https://www.facebook.com/?sk=nf and https://www.facebook.com/?sk=h_chr. Facebook is finishing loading for now. Will see if it continues.
