I am testing Adguard with Chrome which is the browser I am seeing cookie notifications with, Kiwi is my main android browser but is not actively developed so looking for alternative solutions.Sadly there are no browsers for android that effectively block crap with built in ad blockers so that leaves Kiwi and FF for extension support.

I use AdGurd DNS on my Android form. I don't see any ads anymore. You just have to configure the DNS in Settings to:

    dns.adguard-dns.com

The thing is I'm not actually seeing ads, it's cookie notifications that are slipping through on every web page I'm visiting.

You could try Brave. Also possible to add filterlists, e.g. I don't care about cookies.

Is it possible to add lists in the android version?, I was under the impression is was just the built in ad blocker you could use.

Yes, it's also possible in the Android version of Brave. Just type brave://adblock in the addressbar and you will see.

    @anon

I did not understand a couple of passages in the article.
I obviously do not use the extension.

Is the syntax used compared to UBO, in "my filters" and "my rules" different?

Is it possible to insert the same rules that I have in UBO or not ?

    My filters = 92 rules.

My rules = 143 rules (considering those generated by LocalCDN).

    TH.:thumb:

    P.S.

Unfortunately, many rules do not work.
    Example the copy/paste test fails.
I have some doubts that even the import of dynamic rules (which could be done via file-it inserts it in Custom) is efficient.

When I set this up it does indeed work. Unfortunately at least once a week I get errors that tell me I'm not connected to the internet. Do you see this on your device? I don't have these issues if I use the default DNS.

I don't use the AG extension too. I have the standalone app AG for Windows.
AFAIK, you can manually add UBO's filter lists to AG.

Thanks for the heads up. I installed the extension and while it's prototype it works pretty well. Some ad elements aren't caught comparing to the previous extension but apart those it's OK. The main bottleneck is its speed. Munching of ads (sorry I grew up with Ad Muncher) is fairly slow, so you see flickering ads before a site is completely loaded and munched out of ads. Setting the extension is straightforward and far simple than the old one. Just to enable block ads, annoyances, trackers and social widgets and you're done. No dozens of filters to go through as it was previously. You can more strengthen efficiency by enabling language specific filters, custom and user filters. Update of filters is probably done automatically as there is no option. I think it's gonna be a great extension once it is more polished and honed.
