AdGuard browser extension 4.0.133 (stable) sort of released: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/releases
Does AdGuard allow you to backup your settings (ie. whitelist) and import it to other browsers like uBlock Origin? What in your opinion is better AdGuard or uBlock Origin?
It has a feature to export and import settings, which I just used now when manually updating ADG to the stable channel. I prefer uBO because it's easier to troubleshoot, but ADG with default filters sometimes blocks sneaky ad elements that I can't always block with uBO.
my only issued with uBO is that its easycookie list / fanboy annyances filters don't seem to effectively block those annoying "this site is using cookies" notifications. Even ABP does it better.
thanks, I'll give it a shot. Never knew that existed until you gave me that link. That list has way more URLs than the EasyList cookies
AdGuard Browser Extension for Chrome / Firefox / Edge / Opera 4.0.141 Released (March 18, 2022) Announcement / (Github)
When I checked the AG extension in Chrome I still had the older version, but I was able to access it in my extensions (chrome://extensions/) and select 'Update' to get v4.0.133 .
If you have the AdGuard for Windows & AdGuard Assistant you don't need the AdGuard Browser Extension.

AdGuard for Windows, Version 7.10 beta 1 (beta) from April 28, 2022 https://adguard.com/en/versions/windows/beta.html#version-71038970
To me, AdGuard for Windows is severely flawed just by the fact that it makes you install a cert in your browser and effectively bypass all https. I know it needs to be done in order for it to be universal, but still. I don't understand how someone can be for security and privacy yet use a third party cert. Even if you trust them, that's asking a lot.
