Thx Jeff for the update :thumb:

Have a question, how to merge my custom filters into the social remove list?

Open your list from the program data folder in a notepad copy its contents to the new list and rename it to .dat file and replace the original list and you are done.

Thanks but to be honest it's not so handy solution. Can we have more instances of CustomStrings.dat ? I mean for instance my custom filters will be named CustomStrings_own.dat and Jeff's social custom filters CustomStrings_social.dat

I dont think that will be possible in Version 4.xx (i may be wrong) as AdMuncher stores all the custom filters in one location.

OK Jeff will surely shed light but it would be great possibility to have more customstrings files. Copying and merging is quite outdated procedure, if I can say.

Works perfect for me, no grey areas for images..

I have the image replacement stuff turned off in AM options as well though. No idea if that is why, but the page looks great for me. But I use NO custom DAT file with AM, I just go with the defaults. Not sure if that is why either.

Yes, definitely a change in the latest dat that is causing this, as they display fine without the custom filters.

It might be indeed restricted. Anyway sending every new dat file in new separate post would be also fine and maybe more handy. Please take a look how does it developer of Windows Firewall Control https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=2175872#post2175872

Is there any way to update beyond having users download and install a new dat file every time it changes? It's changing often. In regards to the forum posts, yeah, that does suck.

    of course not.

this entire thing is just until 5.x comes out...

then it will support multiple lists.

I don't use DAT files with AM. I just wait for the normal daily updates. Do all of the DAT files mitigate to the normal database eventually?

I think some do, the reason is the links he talks about on this page are eventually fixed for me, without a dat file. Unless I am missing something, it sure seems like at least some of them migrate over.

Hmm, I only see this possible for the links which Jeff recognizes they are rather ads than the social links. However let's wait what Jeff is to say.
