Does anyone know what scan engine is used in Ad-aware Free Antivirus? Also, are there any tests that include this very free version. I find it rather interesting alternative, i just wonder what engine is used...

They use their own inhouse anti-spyware engine and Vipre's licensed signatures. They also scored pretty high on the latest RAP tests.

I watched some Youtube review (i think it was still for beta) where it didn't display ANY warning for default action (Quarantine). ZenOK worked like that and i hated it. You didn't know what happened, the download just failed.
Setting it to Ask then started displaying detection popups. Is it the same now?

There are tests ongoing that includes Ad-Aware 10, but the test results aren't public yet.
