Symantec has launched Livestate Recovery 6.

One of the MAJOR advantages is:

    - BEING ABLE TO RESTORE IMAGE BACK TO ANY HARDWARE!! even VMWARE
    - BEING ABLE TO FULLY AUTOMATED IMAGE RESTORE
    - BEING ABLE TO RESTORE IMAGE FROM REMOTE WHEN BOOTED TRUE RESQUE CD WITH PCANYWHERE THIN CLIENT!
    - RESTORING DC WITH ACTIVE DIRECTORY RESYNC!

I am really Acronis minded but the first 2 options really got me this time. The first one is the nicest feature ever. For short this was only possible with bigbang software Universal Image Utility!

Acronis what will you do to compete with this?

Something tells me this thread will be moved as it does not deal with support, but as a former LiveState user, I feel the need to add my input. I was not impressed with LiveState 3.0 Advanced Server, which is why and how I went to Acronis. Looking at LiveState 6.0, it looks really nice. I think their merger with Veritas will help products like this. Might be worth a look! There's been no updates to TI 8 ES since June...

Quite right! Comparative threads belong here, in software and services.
