Acronis TrueImage 2009 - new build relase 9709

    As I stated in another post, it would appear that if you purchased the FULL version then the new build has appeared, if you purchased an UPGRADE then as of this moment the build is still the old one. Maybe this is an oversight by the Web Wallahs at Acronis.

    Colin has I think correctly identified the problem. But more than 24 hours later the Acronis staff who look after the web site have still not fixed things.

    Live Chat knew straight away what the problem was. The guy on Live Chat that I spoke to just said that they were working through their customer base.

    I am happy that we have a new release of ATI2009. I was worried that there would be no fixes until ATI 2010 in late Autumn of 2009 or Spring of 2010.

    Nope, I purchased the full version and I don't have the update yet. However, I have the "swiss" version (I live in Austria and bought the german version at a retail shop. The shop actually sold the swiss edition/version but it's still german of course).

    In another topic, Acronis Support asked me to upgrade to build 9709. The only way I could get it was to modify the link as described above.

    Here is the location for the download, once you've signed in to your account, and have registered your ATIH 2009 serial number:
    https://www.acronis.com/my/download/?TrueImage2009.9709_s_en.exe

    I just changed the version number from the link on my page and it worked! But you have to sign in and register the serial number first.

    I need the german version though. Simply exchanging en with de or ger doesn't work.

    Ah well, the answer is quite simple: the update is only out for the english version.

    I use English-version and there is no update available.

    The update is available as I am many other users are using it. The posts above correctly say how to download after logging in by changing the build number in the download link.

    Alternatively Live Chat will give you the link for ATI2009 Build 9709.

    The Acronis web site is out of date but you have the work round.

    Now to find out if build 9709 actually works.

    Anyone notice the strange behavior of the task progress bars on the new recovery disk?

    Whilst backup an image the bottom bar that shows the percentage of the whole job seems to zoom along the bar while the current process goes at a normal rate.

    It sure makes me wonder how on earth that could occur when it worked ok before.

    I noticed that too. The progress bars in TI never seemed to work correctly, especially if you had an automatic validation after a backup.

    On several backups I've done with 9,709, the Total Progress bar completes in several seconds.

    This is the dreaded FOTBA syndrome - Fix One Thing Break Another. :D Seems to be very prevalent in this software.

    Blah blah, I'm quite sure you know what I meant when I sad that update is not available, right? No? Ok, I meant it is not available without editing url. And everyone not read this forum, so I think it should be available directly from Registered Products. Now you got it. (I hope).

    Have you checked via the registered products page or via the updates page?

    Do you have an upgrade or full version and which site are you logging into?

    I've checked the US and Australian site, and my full version appears there, but in the past i have found the Aus site not to list all my products whilst the UK and US one have.

    The web wallahs still haven't uploaded the upgrade links to 9709. Perhaps there is a 9709.1 due and they don't want to do the work twice :eek:

    In "Product Updates" there is Register -link after "Acronis True Image Home 2009". When I'm trying to do that, site says "Serial Number is already registered". (Btw, only registered here is Disk Director, while I have been register all versions of True Image I have used since version 7 and they show in Registered Products as registered).

    In "Registered Products" at "Acronis True Image 2009 Home Upgrade (English)" there is "Build: #9646".

    I have Upgrade, since I have upgraded earlier versions. Why it is important? I have always used US -site.

    Well there is the answer as to why it isn't showing up as yet, Acronis marketing/web wallahs are being a bit slow in adding the link.

    As I said, I have found in the past that some Acronis websites get updated before others.

    I have upgrade version and downloaded the new build from UK site soon as it was released without any issues - perhaps it's because we are ENGLISH :D
