Acronis True Image V8 & SATA drive

    Hello All,

    trying to restore a image of a 120GB SATA drive (Dell GX280 running windows XP Pro SP 2 or Windows 2000 SP4). able to create image ok but when I try to restore this image from the recovery zone the PC reboots itself......help!

    Hi Taggy,

    SATA should not be the problem.
    Do you have your secure zone on the very same partition that you want to restore?
    Since I had restore problems with Norton Ghost a couple of years ago I always create separate partitions for that kind of data to have the drive image and the partition(s) to restore physically separated.
