    Hi,

a few days ago I received a mail from Acronis, telling me (if I remember correctly) that they released Acronis True Image Home 9.1.

It stated that they have expanded functionality of the Home product to encompass some of the corporate functionality. Also the images can now be changed (files replaced, added), TI can be added to the actual external rescue media to start from it directly, and some more features.

Since then my HD crashed and my interest in upgrading (or buying a new version at discount from a vendor so I do not have to reinstall ghost and give two upgrade serials to be able to install the update :p ) has increased dramatically.

But when visiting their site I saw no word of TI9.1 only v9.

When I buy through an authorized vendor, will I be able to immediately upgrade to 9.1? Is it really out or what will be the release date.

Otherwise I will wait until it is published.

    Thanks for the info.

    Greetings,

    Tana

Has anybody else received that mail and remember when TI 9.1 will be released?

    Thanks,

Can you tell me, if the current version supports making changes to the image? o_O

I cannot find any mention of it in the US manual or the US web site.

However the German web site of Acronis says for version TI Home 9.0:

    - NEU! Bearbeiten von Images - Mounten Sie Images im Lese/Schreib-Modus und fügen Sie einfach Änderungen zum Image hinzu.

    Which means:
-NEW! Make changes to images - Mount images in read/write modus and simply add changes to the image.

Is this feature already implemented or not in the US version? o_O

    Thanks,

    Tana

    Yes, it is.

At least since Build 3567 of TI 9.0 Home, released in April.

    Thank you bVolk :)

I wonder why they do not advertise this or make this feature public.

It's described in the TI 9 Home pdf manual - Chapt. 11, p 55 & 56.... but who reads that thing anyway :)

    Thank you Mem,

I stand corrected. :D I did read the manual's TOC and selected parts, but not all the text.

    Therefore did not catch this.

Does TI9 run as stable as TI8 does?

    Regards,

It is stable on my PC (just like 8 ) but you need to test it on yours prior to purchase. It seems to be hardware specific on problems plus a few bugs that don't interfere with the way I use it. :)
