Acronis True Image Hangs on Backup AND Restore

Hi
I got this Acronis TI 11.0 latest version from eBay. Installed it and downloaded the latest 8101 build and upgraded it.

1.) Backup Hangs
2.) Restore Hangs at "Please wait......"

3.) Secure Zone not working.

What the hell should I do ?

Does the Backup/Restore from Laptop to Seagate 500GB USB drive work ?

Is there a hardware configuration or limitation to this product?

Acronis TI 11.0 is total waste of money. I am trying Novastar backup and I really don't want to spend another 50 bucks for a software again.

What version of Windows did you install TI 11.8101 on?

What computer is this? Brand, model, etc.

Did you create the Rescue CD and try booting from it?

I have a client backing up a Dell Vista notebook to a Seagate FreeAgent 500GB USB 2 drive sucessfully with TI.

Is your Ti product apparently an original CD or did you buy a selfmade CD without a box?

Marat, let's be realistic. Purchasing an Acronis product on ebay is NOT "illegal". Your company may choose not to support a product purchased in such a manner but your EULA does not invalidate the First Sale Doctrine in the US.

By all means, please post the relevant US laws or court decisions that support your assertion that the mere act of purchase is illegal. There are no such laws, assuming that the item sold was the original discs and not pirated copies.

It's one thing to refuse support of a second-hand product, it is quite another to make baseless assertions of the legality of resale.
