I was a longtime user of Ghost but finally get fed up with it and changed to Acronis TI 9.0. Well, I finally needed it and here's what happened:

Full image of my HD (probably not build 9337 since it was created a few months ago)---multiple incremental back-ups. My main 120GB drive failed this weekend...no problem since I planned for such a disaster. I decided to buy a new 160 GB drive. I used a boot disk (created with the latest build) to restore and resize the image to my larger drive...no luck as the "image is corrupted" I ran the boot disk and checked the image..no problems detected. I then had another 120GB drive and restored (without resizing) to that drive...success. I then cloned that drive to my larger 160 GB drive...success. What the heck? The program must have a bug in it when using that feature (restoring an image to a larger partition). I found this to be quite disturbing since the only time that the program is used is when it has "hit the fan". Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello rborge,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please provide us with the more detailed information on the problem?

    - Where do you store your image?

    - When exactly have you received "the image is corrupted" error message?

    - Have you selected the "Check backup before restoration" option?

    - Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Thank you.
