Acronis OS Selector

Hi,

Every day, when I boot my laptop I see on screen:

Starting Acronis Loader ...
Press ESC for menu
Press F6 to skip menu...

and OS selector screen appears (I only have Windows XP SP2); then I click on "Boot" and Windows loading starts.

Yesterday I partitioned my hard disk and everything was fine. This morning appeared the following:

Starting Acronis Loader...
No commands for booting operating system. Press <Enter> to reboot...

and nothings happens pressing <Enter>; same message appears every time.

As I had an image of drive C:, I restored it and boot process was right.

My questions are:
>> what caused the error on boot? ( I did not anything strange yesterday)
>> is restoring drive C: the only way to solve it?
