From the description, it looks like Acronis IS 2010 is a retool of BitDefender.
First Security Suites started adding Backup tools, now the later is adding a Internet Security Suite :D

I haven't seen a lot of criticism specific to the engine ,other program bugs yes, but not that.

If they are using BD's Engine then its Okie and it will really boost their detection rate...as far as Database is concerned they have to be on their toes. Lets C how they will perform in the WILD...

I think it's wise that Pepsi starts with Pepsi Internet Security. Nice and sweet ;)

IMO Acronis should just focus on its core business.
I don't know the very latest version, but not so long ago the Acronis imaging software was bloated.

Noone is waiting for another Bitdefender clone.

A product that is even more bloated ? o_O

And it seems like only yesterday that everyone was running Kaspersky's. It's just BD's time right now for whatever reason.

Might be because of their good detection rate, they have performed really well in AV-C test. And also they might be giving it cheaply who knows:p

Probably was able to give Acronis a good marketing agreement. It would be tied to money, not detection rates.
