I just purchased Disk Director Suite and True Image and I seem to be having a problem where it freezes randomly during the restore process once booted in safe mode using the emergency CD...wiping partition tables if in the middle of a restore/disk operation.

I have an MSI K8NGM2-FID nforce 430/6150 chipset mobo, SATA II Samsung HD (160GB), connected to an Iogear miniview USB KVM.

This happened during both a partition wipe and a True Image restore operation.

    :/

Try removing the KVM USB device. TI standalone and USB gizmos aren't always happy.

    Here's a variant of Howard's speech number 23.

    1. Use Partition Magic, or whatever to format/partition the drives.
    2. Boot with the TI recovey CD and restore "files", not the image.

    Thanks for the reply.

3days, no reply from Acronis Tech Support (I emailed them) ...disappointing.

quiet acpi=off noapic seems to have done the trick.

I wish they would reply so I could get a boot cd with that hardcoded. With their nonresponse disappointing, will I have to bother them EVERY time they come out with a new build of TI/Disk Director Suite? :(
