    I want to boot my system with Acronis bootable rescue media but it hangs while loading after I select full version from the selection screen. Here are the last few lines of the output I get on screen when it hangs:

    --------------------------------------------------

    Intel ISA PCIC probe: not found.
    init_module:i82365
    :unknown error 19
    $ /bin/insmod ds
    Using /lib/modules/ds.o
    $ /bin/cardmgr -o
    cardmgr[49]: watching 1 sockets
    cs: IO port probe 0x0c00-0x0cff: excluding 0xc00-0xc07 0xc10-0xc17 oxc50-0xc57 0xc68-0xc6f 0xcd0-0xcdf
    cs: IO port probe 0x0100-0x04ff

    --------------------------------------------------

    Any help I can get on this problem would be very appreciated. I need the full version to load, to get access to my backup on my external HDD

    Regards,
    JFT

    Hello jftman,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    We are sorry for delayed response.

    Please make sure you use the latest build of the respective version of Acronis True Image. To get access to updates you should first register your software. Don't forget to recreate Acronis Bootable Rescue Media after updating.

    If the latest build doesn't solve the problem, please try booting with "acpi=off noapic" parameter as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Note that if you use an older version of Acronis True Image (version 8.0 or lower) you should press F11 button when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears and not when the selection screen appears (Acronis True Image 8.0 Bootable Rescue CD for example does not have any selection screen).

    Please also try disconnecting or disabling in computer BIOS card readers in the system before booting.

    I would recommend you to download and install the free trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2009 to see how the software works on your computer. With the trial version of the product you will be able to fully use the Windows version for 15 days. The bootable rescue media will be limited to restore function.

    You can find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image Home 2009 in the respective User's Guide.

    Please visit Acronis online store to purchase the full version of the product. Notice that as you already own a previous version of Acronis True Image, you can purchase an upgrade license at reduced price (as compared to independent license).

    Thank you.
