Accidently Took Me to Another Page While Highlighting Whats Inside Address URL Bar

I wrote down a memo a one line poem on the address URL bar on Waterfox and then while I was trying to highlight the whole thing, it took me to the twitter homepage even though I was on a profile on my friend's twitter page..im afraid if my browser would affect in any way or affect auto updates for my extensions since something happened while I was highlighting the memo on the address URL bar so I could select the copy button..should It be ok? Do you think it might affect my browser or extensions or even auto extension updates in any way?
