About: Convert Dynamic Disk back to Basic Disk without data loss

    This is one out of the past markymoo.
    I am not a computer tech but I just have to thank you for a post you did back in 2007. I had a recently installed 320gb HD that was unfortunately dynamic. It went awol and your fix using HxD got me the data on the first 100gigs. For that I am very grateful. As the disk was partitioned 100 - 200 do you have a retrieve for the second partition.

    I have not personally tried this software for converting dynamic to basic disks but the Easeus partition manager free home edition converts dynamic to basic disks.

    The free Partition Wizard bootable cd also converts dynamic to basic disks.

    Unfortunately the windows version of partition wizard that can do this operation is not free.
