I liked the ending part...combined. Although it is overstated again and maybe without a meaning...technically. I could agree that A-squared has more FPs than other AVs. Although I have to say that I use A-squared years now and has never flagged a system file as FP like other AVs did in the past for which you correctly say that in general have less FPs. Often the FPs have the value we give them.

+1. I have been using A-squared for 4-5 yrs now. I'm also a beta tester. I haven't had any system files flagged as FP. Also FP have gotten better over the last 2 yrs. I don't get as many these days.

As I often said here in Wilders, I read regularly about A-Squared and many FPs, but I never had many FPs with it.

Have been using A-Squared for 6 months now and just 1 FP so far. It wasn't a system file.

It is very fast and catches all the malware (viruses, trojans) in my friends' USB sticks everytime. Malware that their respective antiviruses didn't catch :thumb:

Firzen771- you might want to check the beta forum again. Fabio had said testing for Ver 3 would start soon. That means that it isn't out of alpha and therefore wouldn't be installed in Ver 5. Since I had already asked that question over at the a-squared beta forum.

so A2 AM having a working 64bit behavior blocker implies wat? cuz it sure isnt v2... the beta process if u wer in the closed beta was already finished for Mamutu v3, hence its in the open beta of antimalware v5, now an open beta of mamutu v3 as a separate product will take place next. both AM and Mamutu individually went thru closed beta, AND then AM with behavior blocker intact also went thru closed beta already.

im just using my common sense of, first why wuld they have a beta of the antimalware product, if its only the AV, its not A2 AM if thats the case. and how do u explain the 64bit behavior blocker if its using v2? (unless i missed something and they didnt release a 64bit open beta for some reason)

I am a tester on the closed beta. If you read the last post in the beta section it should have given you the answer.

"As soon as Anti-Malware 5.0 is released we will obviously update Mamutu as well. So be prepared for Mamutu 3.0 testing shortly after the Anti-Malware release."

ye i know, i didnt say Mamutu was released, see i think this is wer ur getting confused, Mamutu is a product name, not the behavior blocker, the tech that is Mamutu tho is in A2 AM, its the IDS module, and thats alredy ther. Mamutu as a product tho is not. IDS (or Mamutu part of AM) is already up and running in v5 beta.

Sorry for the big confusion guys!

    Let me clarify some things:

    - There have been some changes in wording recently: What we previously called "Malware-IDS" will be simply "Behavior Blocker" in upcoming versions. Malware-IDS is a very techical term so we decided to use a more descriptive wording to make it easier for new users of the software.

    - The behavior blocker module is now full x64 compatible and will be part of Anti-Malware 5.0 (public beta stage now) and Mamutu 3.0 (beta test will start when Anti-Malware 5.0 is released).

Oh, so Mamutu V3 is already implemented in A-Squared, just not in a stand alone product.

I though it was still not implemented on A-Squared :D
